Listing or bin?

Both are posts you make so other players at your fields can find your gear. The difference is how many things the post is about.

A listing is one item. A bin is a pile of items in a single post.

Listing: one item

A listing is for one specific thing: a rifle, a mag, a helmet. It has a title, photos, and a description. Depending on what you're doing with it:

• Sell (WTS): set a price. You can drop the price later, and mark it sold once it's gone.
• Want to buy (WTB): set a starting bid. Other players bid it up.
• Trade (WTT): describe what you have and what you'd take for it.

Buyers save it, set a price alert, and message you about that one item. You can also bump it back to the top of the listings page if it stalls.

Bin: a pile, one post

A bin is for a batch of gear you don't want to write twenty separate listings for. You give the whole pile a title, then add photos: your gear locker after an upgrade, a box from a friend who quit, spare mags and pouches you never use.

Each photo can get its own caption and its own price, but there's no condition and no single price for the pile as a whole. Buyers message you about the pile and point at the photo they want.

Buyers can save a bin the same way they save a listing. Bins still skip the other listing-only tools: no sell/buy/trade choice, no bidding, no sold status, no price alerts, no bumping. It's meant to be a simple "here's a pile, ask about what you want" post.

Which one should you make?

• Selling your one rifle, buying a specific part, or trading a specific piece: make a listing.
• Clearing out a bag or box of gear you don't want to list piece by piece: make a bin.
• Want bidding, a sold status, or price alerts on it: that only works on a listing, even for one small item.
• Not sure yet how much is in the pile, or it's a mix of odds and ends: start with a bin and pull anything worth its own spotlight into a listing later.
